Allantoin is a compound that is found in Comfrey Root. The comfrey plant is a hairy perennial Eurasian herb long used in herbal medicine. Known to be a bacteria inhibitor, Allantoin can soothe and reduce inflammation in various product formulations.

Calendula is extracted as an oil from the common marigold flower. Its mild properties make it ideal for use on all oily skin types including sensitive skin. Soothes skin and is especially beneficial for delicate skin.

Cucumber Fruit Extract has long been known for its beneficial uses to the skin. (Cleopatra used cucumber juice to maintain her skin.) It is known to cool and refresh the skin, and has been shown to be moisture-binding, moisture-regulating and softening properties. It is used as a treatment for oily skin and for tired and stressed skin, and as skin refresher in sun preparations.

Will never stop using this toner I have been using this toner for over 2 years now. I actually crave putting it on my face because it adds just enough moisture to my skin that you don't even feel as though you have to put moisturizer on. In fact sometimes I forget to! I highly recomment this product for anyone with a skin type that is "all over the map" I can go from skin flaking dryness to having a complete breakout the next day, however since i started with kiehls my skin has been nothing but its best! 15/01/13
I've used this toner and Calendula Herbal, and they both work well. I have combined skin that gets dry in the morning. This toner absorbs quickly and I feel refreshed immediately. There's no alcohol in it, no chemical fragrance, just the scent of herbs. 12/10/10
