I am comparing this product to two others:
The coconut hair mask that was discontinued
The sunflower haircolor preserving hair mask
I tried this product because the coconut one I would have usually used was discontinued several years ago, and the sunflower mask did not provide as good a result-despite the fact that I am using only very mild, plant based hair color, the sunflower one is a bit too mild for thick, wavy hair and my hair still remains a bit dry after using it. The sunflower one would work in my opinion as a cream rinse for someone like me who has thick hair, (I would use this as a cream rinse over the sunflower cream rinse that they already put out) but the Sunflower mask is not a deep hair treatment.
The Aragan hair pack works best of all three products for keeping in moisture and shine, but the smell is making me sneeze! And I only had it on for 10 minutes max. I think it is the Patchouli in it that is doing that. Great scent for a 1970's hippy revival along with burning incense, but for a hair treatment-no. I give it 5 stars for effectiveness, 1 star for an allergy aggravating scent. The smell really stays on your hair until you wet your hair or wash it out. Someone who had no issues with fragrance would have no problem with the scent. I recommend trying a bit of the tester on a small section of your hand first.
