KIEHL’S GIVES

The Mission of Kiehl's states that we are "to improve in some way the quality of the community... making for better citizens, better firms, and better communities." To that end, we focus our efforts first and foremost on the betterment of our local communities by targeting our philanthropic endeavors on the needs and concerns of their citizens.

We believe in active generosity, and through Kiehl's Gives, our company-wide philanthropic commitment, we've supported 137 charitable organizations through 213 local initiatives since 2015, with a special focus on environment and positive social change.

2SLGBTQ+ SUPPORT

At Kiehl’s, we stand for Healthy Skin for All. We encourage inclusivity and celebrate diversity amongst our customers, community and employees. We believe in embracing who we are as individuals — regardless of gender, race, religion, or who we choose to love.

CURRENTLY SUPPORTING:
THE GET REAL MOVEMENT

Kiehl’s supports The Get REAL Movement: A Canadian non-profit focused on combatting 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination, racism, and bullying in schools, summer camps, and workshops. They accomplish this by offering a variety of different educational Workshop modules and providing leadership development and marginalized youth support.

In 2021, Kiehl’s is proud to fund 2SLGBTQ+ educational workshops that will impact approximately 17,000 students across Canada, including those in remote areas via a 10-school virtual tour. The donation will also enable the Get REAL Movement to train 2 additional 2SLGBTQ+ speakers, including 1 trans-identifying speaker.

A HISTORY OF PRIDE

For the last 18b years, Kiehl's has honored the vibrancy, diversity and artistry of the LGBTQ+ community, culminating in a joyful celebration during the Pride Parade. Kiehl's is proud to support and sponsor various Pride marches in NYC, Los Angeles and other top cities.

The Environment

Kiehl's has long held an impassioned commitment to respecting and raising awareness for our oceans, parks and outdoor spaces—from a recycling program that dates back to the 1970s to ongoing conservation and fundraising initiatives in service of local communities. The Kiehl's Mission

"A worthwhile firm must have a purpose for its existence. Not only the everyday work-a-day purpose to earn a just profit, but beyond that, to improve in some way the quality of the community to which it is committed. Each firm—as should each person—contributes to those around it; and by dint of its day-to-day efforts, the message it thereby imparts is a revelation of the quality standard at which its life’s work is conducted.

We here at Kiehl’s hope that through the quality of our products, by the manner in which our day-to-day contacts are concerned with truth, justice, and fairness, we can in some way communicate to those who may not have been aware of it that these qualities are eternal and renewable every day, making for better citizens, better firms, and better communities.”

We are constantly striving to realize this vision and to endeavor at all times to serve our customers, our communities, and one another to the best of our abilities.
